Laminate and use with individual students or make a template for the board for large group planning.
This template is based on information learned at Sarah Wards 360 Thinking, executive function conferences. It is important to start with the end in mind. This will help students picture what the end result will be so they know where to start. Don’t set timers for the full time you are allowing for work completion. Set a half way point and check in with students to see if they feel they are half done. This works for a math worksheet or long term project. What are their “Time Robbers”? Do they need to pick up the pace? When they complete a task make sure they attach a positive emotion. “How does it feel now that you are all done?”
