This Macbeth Modernization Project is developed with the intention of having students develop an understanding of the play while building on their ability to analyze characters, connect with plot, and most importantly, examine the idea of motives and power within people. To assess student understanding within the realm of power and motives, students will work interdependently to create an imaginative and innovative story. So what kind of story? The story is up to the group, which brings forth the importance of choice. They can choose any story line they wish (appropriateness depends on the teacher) hence making this project motivating and engaging.
