World War II: Executive Order 9066 and the Internment of Japanese Americans Webquest uses an amazing website that allows students to learn about the impact of Executive Order 9066 and the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
The following ideas/events are covered in this webquest:
Japanese immigration to the United States
Executive Order 9066
The Relocation (How and where it happened)
Life in the Internment Camps
The webquest contains 45 questions and an answer key is included for the teacher. A QR code is included along with the traditional website links. I recommend using this activity as an introduction activity or as an opportunity for students to further explore the history and geography of the internment camps. The webquest will take most students at least 30 to 50 minutes to complete depending on age. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.
