Calling all executive functioning nerds! :) This is intended for older, transitional students who are getting ready to enter the workforce or college. This does not have to include your IEP goals, unless the student wishes to include them in one of the categories. By learning to set goals in high school, students can prioritize their central needs and learn to create “action plans” toward seeing those goals come to fruition. This is a great executive functioning activity that goals hand in hand with introspection and transitioning toward independent goal setting.
The first variation of the worksheet includes a statement in a gray box that provides the student with key vocabulary to discuss with you about actually developing an action plan.
The second variation of the worksheet does not include that terminology, but rather challenges the student to come up with Materials (tangible or intangible) he or she may need to achieve the two goals. In true speechie fashion, this form is color coded.
