This is a great way to get the kids up ∧ moving for PE class. It can also be used for an ongoing activity for a month. Included, is a rubric that will assist in grading the student's participation, behavior, attitude, etc...There is also an exercise journal for students to use to keep track of their progress for 2 weeks. You can copy the journal so the students can track their progress for a month or longer.
There will be 7 stations, consisting of Jumping Jacks, Sit Ups, Push Ups, Bench Step Ups, Lunges, Free Weights, & finally stretches. Students will be assigned to each station - 2-3 students. Each station will be marked with a number and the name so that students will know where to rotate next. Students will engage in the activity at each station for 5 minutes. Each student will take turns or helping each other. They will do 10, then the next student will do their 10 until the whistle is blown. After 5 minutes, students will rotate to the next station. There will be a rubric used to assess student participation, behavior attitude. Students will also be given a journal to track their progress.
