This file contains a video of different exercises that you can incorporate in your classes, sports programs, or for personal benefit. It’s called the “exercise of the week”. This activity is called, "The Lunge." It's a workout that works on the lower body muscles specifically in the legs. The different exercise video clips range from about 1-2 minutes in length depending on the exercise, which tell you how to use the exercise and demonstrates the exercise while stating the words on the screen. This allows for you and your students to see the demonstration, how it is performed correctly, and what it is called. It also has a modification of the exercise to take it to the next level. You can also combine multiple videos to create a serious of workouts for your class to work different muscle groups each week. For example, show a different video each day during the week to work on core or lower body muscles. There are so many ways to use the exercise of the week and it helps show the students how to do it without you performing the technique every day. Use the videos to possibly create a unit plan on the different muscle groups or a workout program for your sports programs.
