Student Self Reflection
This pack includes colour and black and white self reflection posters for students to assess their own learning. It is easily adapted to suit your own classroom needs and could be used before, during and after learning.
- Before teaching as part of formative assessment – what do my students already know? What do I teach?
- During teaching to see how your students progress is going. Who still requires assistance? Who has mastered it? You could even get the ‘experts’ to teach their peers to further enhance their learning!
- After teaching as a form of summative assessment – are my students where I expect them to be?
Using wooden pegs, I have my students ‘peg’ their name onto the poster which suits them best and then follow up with a discussion where students articulate their position and why they feel they are at that level. I take a picture, and then we restart with the next lesson of the day!
It could also be used with post-it-notes as an exit activity. Use it and make it your own!
