These exit slips are formatted within a PDF, downloadable file and have four per page.
They prompt students to process through some metacognition-ness and ask them to explain ONE thing that they have learned today..doesn't even have to be in your specific class.
Additionally, they require students to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and to recall a moment of learning individually.
I place these exit slips in a pile on their table of desks prior to the school day, which eliminates taking time to pass them out. They also serve as a useful CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT tool because students are able to fill the slips out during a moment when I'm passing out papers or taking attendance or some other time that they might otherwise take advantage of by talking to a neighbor.
Tried and true and proved effective by Ms. DiSalle's rambunctious students. :)
