Exit Slips! Exit Tickets are a great tool for learners to critically reflect on their learning and lessons. Exit slips provide a fast and easy way for teachers to assess the learning of each child at the end of a lesson.
100 Exit Slips for Grade 4 (with support) to adult learners.
'Country Friendly' resource: UK, American, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand Versions.
After a few years of teaching Grades 4-8, I wanted a strategy to help me better understand how well my learners understood the facts/concepts and strategies I was teaching. I also wanted to provide them the opportunity to reflect on their own learning. I wanted a strategy that was effective, used limited class time and could provide important information about each learner. At a workshop, I was introduced to Exit Slips and decided to try them. From the first time I used them, I knew Exit Slips would become an invaluable teaching and learning tool. I began to use them and have never looked back.
Exit Slips (Exit Tickets) are an easy to implement, effective formative assessment tool that provides teachers with invaluable information about their learners' thinking and progress. Exit Slips take only 5 minutes at the end of class to complete.
I have never shied away from using challenging vocabulary and wording with younger learners so I recommend this resource to be used from ages 10 (with support) to adult.
