Exit Slips for Any Subject : Exit slips are a great way of quickly assessing students’ learning. After each lesson, you pass out the exit slips to the students and have them answer the question or respond to the statement on the slip. There are 16 exit slips included in this resource that are perfect for any subject area.
How do I collect the exit slips?
-Stand at the door and have each student hand the exit slip to you.
-Have one person per row/group/table collect the exit slips and turn them in to you.
-Place a container close to the door for the students to place the exit slip in just in case you are taking care of something at the end of class.
-Place an envelop beside the door for the students to place their exit slips.
What do I do with the exit slips now?
-Read them. Students tend to be very honest on these. Some may ask for additional help with the lesson.
-Tailor the next lesson to your students’ needs.
-Earn good evaluation points if your administrator is observing you. It shows classroom management and closure to a lesson.
