Exit Slips are used by the students once the day/period is over and they are leaving your classroom. The students should circle the phrase that best describes their needs, and fill in the blanks. The teacher then collects them from each child as they are leaving your room, and later read over them.
My students love to share, so it's also helped with tattling by eliminating class interruptions.
I also love them, because I am so amazed about what they feel, what they have enjoyed, and what we need to review the next day.
