This Ticket Out the Door file can be made into a poster and used for everyday assessment in classrooms of all ages!
In my classroom, I pose a question anytime during class (before, during, or after). On a sticky note, the students answer the question using words, pictures, lists, etc. (i.e. Ask students to write and/or draw one noun and one verb on their sticky notes.) After they are finished, students can stick the note onto one of the squares. Each square on the poster is a little larger than a standard Post-It note, which is 3" x 3". Sometimes I review the answers given in a whole class setting and ask the students if they agree or disagree. Otherwise, I collect them all to assess each student's individual needs about ANY topic in ANY subject area as a pre-, post-, or authentic assessment.
To get this image printed the size of a poster, you can upload the .jpg file online to a "photo center" or visit a store that is capable of printing office products. The image prints best as a 20" x 30" poster size.
If you would like me to personalize the poster with your school colors or classroom colors, please e-mail me at email@example.com and I will upload a new version for you!
