The perfect union between Exit Tickets and Task Cards has arrived! They are Exit Tickets in a Task Card format! The Exit Ticket Task Cards (ETTCs) were designed to be used as a Formative Assessment tool for any subject area in the classroom. Depending on how you use them, the ETTCs can be a quick assessment that’s done at the end of class or a more in depth assessment that may require more time. The questions on the ETTCs are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy question stems for higher order thinking. The questions include some of the following topics: main idea, summarizing, Google search, Facebook posting, application of learned information, comparisons, and pretending to be the teacher. There's a total of 12 task cards in this one set. The set includes 4 task cards on each page and each task card has a different question on it.
Suggested Uses (based on a class size of 24 students):
* Individual: Using 2 sets (24 ETTCs), each child gets one card and answers the question on it before leaving class.
* Individual: Using 2 sets (24 ETTCs), put them in a bucket and the kids draw their ETTC on the way out the door and answer their question for homework.
* Group: Put students in groups of 4 at the end of class and have each group answer 1 question or all 4 of the questions if there’s enough time.
* Choose just ONE page from the set (whatever questions fit your lesson the best), make 6 copies of it so you have 24 ETTCs – and use them either individually or in a group assessment. ***This choice allows you to only check the answers for FOUR questions, rather than twelve☺ ***
