This is a set of Exit Tickets to go along with Kate DiCamillo's novel The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Each ticket features a rigorous, SBAC-inspired question to stretch your students understanding of the novel. These questions can be used for a whole class study of the novel, in reading groups, or as a reading warm-up.
- 1 SBAC-spired, Common Core aligned question for each chapter (29 in all)
- 2 sets of Stretch Questions (8 questions in all)
- answer key
The questions were written based on the third grade standards, but they would also be appropriate for a high-flying second grade reading group or remedial fourth grade group.
Also included are 2 sets of open-ended, DOK 3 and 4 questions to guide whole class discussions. They can be used during Socratic Seminar, literature circles, as reading responses, etc.
