Product Description
This product supports the following TEKS and CCSS:
4.2b - represent the value of the digit in whole numbers through 1 billion and decimals to the hundredths place using expanded notation and numerals.
4.NBT.A.2 - read and write multi-digit numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form...

** be sure and print front to back - short side-**
Included in this purchase are 24 colorful and thought-provoking task cards, an objective statement, an answer document, answer key, and fun game board.

If your students need additional practice recognizing numbers in expanded form/notation then this product is for you. It will give your students practice with the many ways to show numbers in expanded form, and will challenge them to read carefully as many of the questions are written to re-enforce this skill.

These task cards can be used as a cooperative learning game in math centers, in small group tutorial or guided math groups, as an independent early finisher activity, or as a whole group review game such as Scoot.
Here are a couple of other ways in which I've used task cards in the classroom: copy a question or two to put in math journals, copy and use a question as an exit ticket, or select 2 specific pages from the file, print (front and back), and you have an 8 question homework, independent practice or a spiral review page ready to go.

I hope you and your students benefit from this product.

I hope you and your students enjoy using this activity in your classroom!
