This is a great activity for students who need support with expected and unexpected behaviors. Students will sort picture cards, answer (orally or written) questions about social scenarios, and reflect/think through social behavior charts by discussing and filling out talking points such as how others feel about the behavior, how others treat you based on how they feel about the behavior, and how you feel based on how you are being treated by others.
This packet includes:
-74 picture cards (2 pictures for 37 different behaviors)
Examples include: being caring, focusing, giving a high five, being honest, bad teamwork, being disrespectful, being distracting, invading personal space, kicking objects
-18 different social scenarios (12 discussion cards and 8 fill-in worksheets)
-Unexpected Behaviors: What might happen (discussion page)
-Expected and Unexpected Behavior sorting chart (to use with the Expected/Unexpected Behavior picture cards)
-Social Behavior Charts: Examples (3 expected examples, 3 unexpected examples), Blank charts (expected and unexpected): choose a behavior picture card as the topic or have students come up with their own topic
