This isn’t my idea...that’s why it’s free! I honestly cannot remember where I got this idea, so if you know...please let me know.
This is a “yellow pages” book that my students used. Instead of always asking me for help on certain things, they would come here to find an “expert.” Every page has a routine or skill of some sort. Students that knew how to do that routine or skill would write their name on that page so others could ask them for help. Before they could sign their name, they would have to prove to me that they were an expert. Once there were names on the page, any student that needed help would look on that page for a name and have a person they could ask for help. It was fabulous during guided reading groups when I couldn’t be interrupted.
I stapled the pages together, punched a hole in the upper left-hand corner, put a ring in the hole and hung it on the front board for easy access.
I left this in the publisher format so you could edit the routine/skill you need for your students.
