Explain Yourself is a game of 40 cards about Halloween. Students pick a card, read it aloud, and the small group discusses what they think about their two choices. Who is bossier (a traffic cop or a demanding witch)? Who is bossier (a cowboy zombie or a ghost)? Who is a better dancer (Dracula or a witch)? Which tastes sweeter (a pile of hard candy or a piece of cake)? Which has a better smile (a Jack-o-lantern or a dancing spider)? Fun questions. Funny questions. Kids will enjoy this game of deciding and explaining on Halloween. Take a look at the Preview to see sample pages.
How to play: Hand each pair of students or small group this one-sided packet to cut apart. Students turn over the cards and take turns pulling one card and responding to the prompt. No wrong answers. Kids decide for themselves. Fun. Easy to make. Just cut and play.
