This includes 6 pages: a lesson plan and teacher notes for how to teach adages/proverbs and a direction sheet for students, list of common adages, rubric for grading. Includes pacing of lesson and a copy of a proverb with adage. Students learn what a proverb/adage is and then read 1 or more. Students are then placed into groups or partners to create a short story (proverb) to go with the chosen adage. Students write/illustrate and then present/teach to the class. Ideas for differentiation and variations included. Includes art, speaking/listening, language, and writing, as well as collaboration and critical thinking.
