What educators are saying

I use this to educate my staff and parents. It's been wonderful as people now have some idea of what a speech-language pathologist does! Easy to read and not too lengthy, but still informational.
Very well thought out, easy to understand presentation. My unnecessary referrals have significantly decreased after this PD presentation to my teachers!

Need a quick explanation of speech therapy for a staff in-service or parent informational meeting? Then this is what you are looking for!

This powerpoint presentation designed for use by a speech-language pathologist, and contains a brief overview of speech-language therapy in the school setting.

It briefly discusses what speech-language therapy is, what a SLP does, the definition of communication, some types of communication disorders and resulting effects on a student's school life, and what to do if a speech-language disorder is suspected. It can also be printed to have a handout ready for parents and staff at any time. There are a total of 26 slides, and it takes about 5 minutes to present aloud. As it is a PPT file, you can quickly edit it to customize it to your school and audience!
