Use this informational report checklist for students to edit their own work before or after conferring with the teacher, peer, or for yourself as a grading rubric.
Rubric is based on the six traits of writing (ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions). Long-term learning targets for each component: of the six traits should be presented before using the rubric. Add points to each indicator for an overall number of possible points.

*In the section, Word Choice, the word "vivid" is used for powerful words or vocabulary that can be improved by using a thesaurus.
