Do you ever feel like there is a disconnect between letter sounds, words, and sentences? I do! It is important for students to see that all these skills are connected and build off of each other.

The purpose of these sheets is to help students understand the connection between individual sounds all the way down to a paragraph. With this sheet students can visually see how one sound can be placed into a word, which is in a phrase, which is part of a paragraph.

This version is phonics based; therefore, each sheet focuses on one phonics skill.

These sheets can be used in a whole group setting, if they are projected or a document camera is used. But also works great in a one on one or small group setting. When using these sheets with students, we highlight a sound, the word it is in, the phrase that word is in, and the sentence that phrase is in. They can see the connection all the way down the page.
