Looking for an exploratory Spanish unit for young children? Teach your Kindergarteners through 2nd graders Spanish as you embark on a journey through make believe in the adapted version of The Little Red Hen. In this 10 lesson unit, the little hen tours the farm each day and asks each of the farm animals for help baking the bread. They all have their own chores to do though. The hen takes pity on her friends and decides to visit the supermarket and then bake a cake for her hard working friends.

Each of the ten lessons has activities for 1-2 hours. This unit can be for programs that meet every day or every few days. It includes a booklet and fill-in-the-blank storybook for the kids, a custom made bingo game, flashcards, memory game and dominos to use as review, copyright free pictures to use as teaching tools, links to custom made online review games and of course the lesson plans.

This unit is fun and keeps the kids engaged. There are two cumulative projects that the kids will complete: a fill-in-the-blank story book and a short skit which is performed at the last class. They really enjoy seeing how much they have learned when completing these projects!
