Interactive Notebooks are a regular part of an intermediate and middle school Social Studies classroom. This presentation provides discussion questions, vocabulary definitions, brain breaks, and examples to teach the basics of world physical and political maps. Students record definitions and complete a visual handout for their notebooks. The two-sided student handout allows students to apply their knowledge of the vocabulary by creating a graphic organizer and illustrating concepts in a scenario where they are helping a group of foreign tourists understand the meanings of words in English.
Lesson Includes: A PowerPoint presentation, Student fill-in notes, a 2-sided student practice handout, and a Teacher Quick Reference Guide
