It also matches with PYP.
Students will explore the reaction in activity 1. In activity 2 students will investigate elephant toothpaste by following the scientific method. They will answer the question: Does increasing the concentration of hydrogen peroxide affect the temperature of elephant toothpaste? For activity 3 students will discover elephant toothpaste by creating their own investigation. This can be completed as a class, in groups, or as a science fair project. The journal will take you step by step through the process. Activity 3 is an elephant toothpaste assessment.
Video demonstrations are included to help you and your students.
Teachers will enjoy teaching their students about molecules and chemical reactions with this great hands-on reaction. Students will have a memorable hands-on experience to help them learn about molecules, exothermic reactions, and catalysts. There are sure to be lots of oohs and aahs. Teachers will love the ease of use and directions. Great for any STEM classroom or summer camp. I like teaching the lesson for Halloween.
