Activities require minimal supplies such as paper and a projector.
Activity 1: Mars – Earth 4 Corners Game
Learn through moving! Students compare facts about Earth and Mars by voting through moving around the room when a fact is presented.
Activity 2: Mars – Earth Matching Game
Students will discover information about Mars by comparing facts and sorting cards for either Earth or Mars.
Activity 3: Mars Flashcards
Students can practice their knowledge or quiz each other using the Mars trivia flashcards.
Activity 4: Mars Skit Activity
Teams will learn information about Mars and share with the class in a creative performance or visual medium such as a skit, cheer, dance, or movie.
Activity 5: Mars Trivia Game
Test student knowledge with this Mars trivia game in PowerPoint form! Includes photos and graphics to help reinforce concepts. (This activity is included separately as a PowerPoint file).
Mars Colony STEM Project
This product is a great companion to the Mars Colony Project. Students will apply scientific concepts, math skills, critical thinking, research, and engineering design to plan a long term habitat on Mars. This creative and in-depth project is a great activity for your classroom or afterschool program!
