This webquest / virtual field trip / hypderdoc takes students on a trip through 8 different types of wetlands around the world with Google Maps 360 degree photos. The main objective is to read a 1.5 page passage discussing types of wetlands, then visit 17 different wetlands locations via Google Maps. Students make real world observations and decide which type of wetland each link shows based on clues from the reading passage.
Tidal marsh, non-tidal marsh, wet meadow, vernal pool, prairie pothole, bog, swamp, and fen are the types of wetlands featured in the passage and links.
