Bingo is a fun game to engage all your students at the same time as a whole group. It can be used for review, test prep, or just for fun practice. It requires very little teacher prep and the kids love playing it!
This Bingo game goes with the Houghton Mifflin Reading program story "Exploring Parks with Ranger Dockett." There are 48 clue/question cards in the set, and 40 bingo cards so that you can play with any number of children up to 40. Directions as well as tips and suggestions are included. Answers are included on each clue/question card.
Many skills are covered with these questions, and many are directly related to common core standards. Here are the skills covered by the questions:
Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives
Synonyms and Antonyms
Consonant Clusters and Digraphs
Hard and Soft G and C
Subject/Predicate of a Sentence
Bingo is a fun and engaging game and there's very little for the teacher to do. Print out the clue/question cards and the bingo cards, cut them apart, explain the game, and you're ready to go! This game could be used for a whole class or in small groups.
Check back as I will be making these games for every story in the Houghton Mifflin Reading Program Adventures and Delights anthologies.
