Students will explore how looking at the same story from a different perspective can alter how we interpret the entire course of events. They will start by looking at the story of the three little pigs and how it is changed when looking from the wolf's perspective. There is also an optional article (with a video) about this same issue with the more recent Brexit campaign that could be used after or instead of the little pigs example.

After some class discussion, students will find a current news story and fill out the "I Said, You Said" sheet that asks them to outline 2 sides of a current issue. On the back, it asks them to put their thoughts and findings into a more comprehensive analysis.

This is an introductory activity from the beginning of my larger "Talk Show Project" unit plans.
