Introductory lab to discovering physical properties of matter. Students rotate through this station lab to observe properties such as surface tension, malleability, thermal conductivity, and more! Instead of havings students read and memorize definitions, students describe what they see in their own words. Often times what they describe is the scientific vocabulary or even a synonym. This lab helps students make their own connections which aids in lasting memory.
