These worksheets include 5 short nonfiction paragraphs about space written in different text structures. Students will read each paragraph and identify the text structure being used. The first worksheet includes all the examples on one page. The rest of the worksheets have the same examples with one example per page and give a place for students to fill out a graphic organizer.
This packet has made my students think about text structure while also leading to good conversation about space. I love connecting ELA and Science concepts!
Text structures included are: Compare and Contrast, Problem and Solution, Descriptive, Sequencing, and Cause and Effect.
An answer key is provided.
