Connect your Science lesson with your Language Arts instruction!
These worksheets include information about weather written in different text structures. Students will read each paragraph and identify the text structure being used. The first worksheet includes all the examples on one page. The rest of the worksheets have the same examples with one example per page and give a place for the students to write. I usually have my students work together to find the text structures of each individual page and give the page with all the paragraphs as an assessment. This packet has made my students think about text structure while also leading to good conversation about weather.
Text structures included are: Compare and Contrast, Problem and Solution, Descriptive/Main Idea and Details, Sequencing, and Cause and Effect.
An answer key is provided.
