Mollie People help your little people explore different ways to make 10!
Give each student a cup with 10 red/yellow counters. Use the large work mat in a sheet protector with dry erase markers. Students dump their cup of counters and separate the counters into red and yellow groups. Then students count and write the numbers in the corresponding red and yellow boxes equaling 10. Clear the mat and repeat the process.
Once students have practiced the process, move them to the second sheet (use also in a sheet protector) and they can record the different ways to make 10.
