Exponents: Mission Is Possible has three different activities to review and practice exponents.
Exponent Puzzle Match:
There are two different versions of Exponent PUZZLE Match. In one version, students match the exponent with its value. In the other version, students match the exponent with the repeated multiplication expression and its value. Puzzle Match can be used in a math center or in small groups. Puzzle pieces will need to be printed and cut out. An answer key can be created for students by printing off an extra set of puzzle pieces and placing the pages in a folder for students to check their work.
Power UP with Exponents:
This game can be played with 2-3 players. The game reviews exponents of 0 – 3 with bases 1 - 9. Game board and spinner come in color and black/white versions. Game pieces needed.
Mission Is Possible:
This game can be played with 2-3 players to help students review skills related to exponents. This game has 30 playing cards. Some of the terms found on the playing cards include: base, exponent, factor, exponential form, expression, word form, expanded form, evaluate, and power. These cards also can be used as task cards in a math center or as a walk-the-room activity. A recording sheet is included. Game board comes in color and black/white versions. Game pieces, number cube, and dry erase board/paper needed. Playing cards will need to be printed and cut apart.
