Filetype: .DOCX, requires Microsoft Word
3 sets of files with Exponent/Powers of 10 matching card decks. For example, the card “10 superscript 2” has the matching card “100”. All decks include a definition and example card, and all include positive and negative exponents. The first deck matches fractions to negative exponents, the second deck matches decimals to negative exponents, and the third multiplies the power of 10 by a decimal.
For each deck there is an information and answer key file, as well as 4 versions of the card deck: one with one single sided (label on front) deck; one with one double sided (label on back) deck; one with 15 single-sided decks; one with 15 double-sided decks. The decks are “no-trim”, numbered, and labelled, making it easier to maintain the decks for multiple uses. The files with 15 decks are already collated – make 2 cuts through the stack of paper, and you’ll have a shuffled deck ready to go.
A Word file and a Powerpoint file with instructions for several matching games like Concentration and Old Maid are also included.
The decks can be used for class warmup, for group work/math centers, and for sending home for extra practice with family.
♦ Multiple deck file included: Print once, and you’ll have decks for multiple groups.
♦ No prep: Simply print the multi-deck file and make 2 cuts to have a complete deck. No margins to trim and the deck is already collated.
♦ Easy maintenance: Decks are labelled and numbered. If a card falls on the floor, it can be re-united with the proper deck.
♦ Customizable: Word .DOCX files so that you can make changes to suit your students.
**** DO NOT ADJUST/”FIX” THE PAPER MARGINS ****
**** PRINT ONLY ONE COPY OF THE 15 DECK FILES ****
You may get a warning when printing that the margins are small, and that some content will be cut-off. Ignore this warning; the card deck files use table cell margins instead of paper margins, and no content will be cut off.
