This resource is a puzzle that helps students practice exponents and identifying expressions that are equivalent in value, but written in different forms. When the puzzle is put together correctly, the letters on the pieces should read: "ONE HUNDRED FIFTY!" to fill in the blank to the fun fact: "There are more than ___ ________ _____ types of dogs."
The puzzle pieces can be glued in order on the provided answer sheet if you would like to check your students' work. The puzzle can also be used as a more casual practice activity in which the pieces do not need to be glued in order, simply arranged for practice in a center. This activity also makes a great challenge for early finishers. It can be used as an independent activity or partner activity.
