Exponent Properties - Guided Notes
Exponent property guided notes can be used to help your algebra students navigate through all of the exponent properties. Included you will find seven half sheets of notes with answer keys. The notes allow students to explore and think about each property before the rule is given.
Exponent Properties - Scavenger Hunts
Excellent, self-checking Scavenger Hunt worksheets can help deepen student understanding with all of the exponent properties. This resource includes two differentiated scavenger hunt worksheets for the properties listed below.
Students will solve the first problem in the box below where it says START. The answer to this problem will lead to the next problem to be completed. The answer should be in one of the gray rectangular boxes. Complete the next problem (place a 2 in the starburst bubble) and so on until all twelve problems have been completed. The last problem should be the answer in the start box.
If a student does not find the answer in one of the grey boxes, he/she knows the problem is not correct. Within each set of scavenger hunts, each worksheet (#1 and #2) increase in difficulty. Answer keys are included for all of the scavenger hunts.
Exponent Properties - Assessments
Included you will find six assessments on the properties listed below. Each assessment has ten problems that assess student knowledge on the particular property. A variety of problems varying in difficulty are provided on each assessment. Answer keys are included.
