Are your students tuned out? Try this self-checking scavenger hunt and get them up and moving around the room! This scavenger hunt includes 10 exponent property problems using only positive exponents. They include multiplying like bases, simplifying a power to a power, and more complex problems that require multiple steps. I would categorize the level as beginner/intermediate. This is not an honors level scavenger hunt.
Post the pages around your room in a random order. Give a student work page to each student. I usually make a point of telling the students to start at different problems, so they aren’t all in a bunch. The students work out the problem on their first sheet and find the answer on the bottom of another sheet around the room. They then complete the problem on the top of that sheet. They continue this until they return to the page where they started. If completed correctly, the problems will spell AMYLOPECTINS when starting with the “A” page. This makes it super easy for you to check! Enjoy!
A student work page is included, so the students can easily organize their work during the activity.
