### Description

Two activities to practice with exponent rules are included in this resource. In these group activities, students practice simplifying expressions involving positive exponents. Cards are designed with similar numbers and variables involving anticipated misconceptions of the Properties of Exponents. All of the cards in the card sort activity simplify to one of four expressions. Students should be familiar with the following properties: Product of Powers, Quotient of Powers, Power of a Power, Power of a Product, and Power of a Quotient.
