Students will practice solving exponential equations using a common base. Knowledge of positive and negative exponents required. Some questions require students to combine bases on one side of the equation.
Simply give each student the template and set of problems. They solve each equation, cut out the boxes, then paste them onto the template so that each solution is the sum of the two solutions directly above it. See the preview for more detailed directions and photos.
This activity was created for an Algebra 2 level class and works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 2 Exponential & Logarithmic Equations Unit.
