Exponents get boring after a while, let's face it. I've created some worksheets that allow students to practice exponent skills while doing an activity.
Suggestion: For the Triangular Puzzle, group students at least in partners, because these problems are more challenging.
1) Tan-gram puzzle: Students simplify expressions using laws of exponents to create a picture that answers the riddle.
2) Exponent Triangle puzzle: Students simplify expressions using laws of exponents that match triangle puzzle pieces (more practice, and a little more difficult)
3) Coloring Exponents: Students simplify again, but this time will color the answers. This activity is EASY and made for On-Level or ESL.
4) Students again simplify exponent and radical expressions. They shade their answers. There are also 2 error analysis questions on this practice worksheet.
