Product Description
Unique, interesting, fun & effective !

Can you guess which one? - Exponents II - Task Cards / Worksheets consists of 12 separate task cards each with 4 different expressions to simplify. All four are carefully created to look very different at first, but with simplification three of the four expressions are identical, or equivalent, in value while only one is different. The fourth appears to be similar only if the student makes a mistake in simplification. This game can induce great class discussions and leaves a lasting impression that helps students to further develop their understanding of exponents and the rules that govern them. It also strives to build the base math skill of recognizing equivalence, a key concept necessary to be successful in high school math and beyond.

"Can you guess which one?" is a great way to teach, reinforce or review exponent laws. Its informal yet challenging approach creates an atmosphere of excitement where students want to uncover the answer rather than feeling that it is just another set of mundane problems to solve.
