This PowerPoint is an overview of how an expository essay is organized.
It states that an expository essay explains something in 5 paragraphs. The introduction has 3 sentences: hook, answer, thesis. The next paragraphs each explain one of the reasons in the thesis by using definitions, commentary, and anecdotes that give evidence for your reasons. The conclusion is 3 sentences: answer, thesis, the zinger.
The PowerPoint not only explains these things, it also shows an example essay with each part outlined carefully. It also includes my copyrighted checklist and Cornell notes to match.
