Product Description
In third grade we spend a good chunk of our year learning how to write different types of paragraphs. In December and January our focus is on writing "How to..." expository paragraphs. This 12 page resource walks students through the basics of expository writing, including a topic sentence, sequencings words at the beginning of each step, and a closing sentence. After a guided practice lesson on "How to Brush Your Teeth," students have the choice of three holiday prompts for independent practice: "How to Build a Snowman," "How to Decorate a Christmas Tree," or "How to Make a Gingerbread House."
