Product Description
** SAVE: You can now buy this as part of my BUNDLED WRITING PACK and save $5!**

Writing doesn't come easily to many students; so to effectively teach writing we often need to GUIDE learners through the process.

This comprehensive pack contains:
- 4 step-by-step lesson plans (each one guides the teacher in the most effective way to teach the concepts of the lesson, and provides helpful tips and hints for effective practice).
- A variety of attractive worksheets and hand-outs which accompany the lesson plans.
- A list of 40 expository writing topics and prompts.
- A beautiful A2 poster on 'Discourse Markers' to brighten up your classroom and remind learners of the many useful transition works/phrases they can use in their writing.

Lesson 1: The “How To” / Process Essay - This lesson explores the process essay – often referred to as the “how to” essay. Students will be guided through the process of sequentially planning and writing this important and commonly used essay format.

Lesson 2: The Compare & Contrast Essay - This lesson will explore the compare-and-contrast essay; a form of writing in which students examine and explore two or more topics together. Students will be guided through the process of writing this type of essay in two different ways.

Lesson 3: The Explanatory Essay - An important feature of expository writing is being able to clearly explain thoughts and ideas. Therefore, this lesson will help students to express their opinions and explain them in neat, well-structured paragraphs.

Lesson 4: The Cause / Effect Essay - This lesson will help students to identify the three main causes of an issue of their choosing, and then plan and develop an expository essay on the topic.
