This a review of algebraic expressions. Students must evaluate expressions, simplify/combine like terms, and write expressions from a context. It is written as a worksheet and can be used that way.
However, it was written to be used for Musical Chairs Review. Cut the problems apart on individual pieces of paper. Put one problem on each desk in your room. Students do the problem in their notebook and have limited time to complete each problem, just like musical chairs. I play music during this activity. Students have 1-2 minutes to complete their problem. When the music stops, they have to stop their work and move on to the next problem.
There are 30 problems in this set, for 30 students.
I usually display the answer key at the end of the period so that students can check their work. They will also have a great study guide this way.
