Do your students need practice reading with expression? Do they skim over the punctuation, completely forgetting what a question mark or exclamation point sound like? Here is some help!
Included are 2 posters for introducing the guided and independent practice activities. As the teacher, explicit modeling should be done before the guided practice so the students know what it means when you ask to read with expression. A guided practice sort is included to sort with your students with headers and four types of each sentence. Then, an independent sort is included to check for understanding of punctuation. Lastly, a "Roll an Emotion" center is included for extra practice!
