Product Description
Modern Native American Art
Juane Quick-to-See Smith communicates her vision of Native American life and history with her art. This lesson will explore the “real life” memories of an Anishinaabe girl and her boarding school experience. We will look at the expressionistic art of Juane Quick-to-See Smith and her use of paint+collage+ text. We will look at the work of well known artist Robert Raushenburg. I often tie well known artists to bridge the understanding that art has no boundaries. We learn from others, we modify as we explore our vision of art and begin to understand how to communicate our ideas in new and exciting ways unique to each of us! Includes rubrics, a planning sheet, links for background information and a digital example!
