Expressions can be boring and monotonous. This project uses perimeter and cost as a sneaky way to get the kids practicing combining like terms, using distributive property, working with decimals and fractions and knowing how to use subtraction when dealing with a binomial. Spread this project out over several days, or give it to the students at the beginning of the week and make it due on Friday. The final page asks the students to create their own problem which is the highest level of Bloom's taxonomy!
