Activities included are:
Being the Ring Master: Asking Questions- 96 question cards for students to practice asking questions. There 24 cards for WHO, WHEN, WHERE, and WHAT. Students choose a card that already has an answer, and need to create a question for it. Example: card says- Post Man, the student could create the question " Who is the person that brings the mail?" This definitely targets those higher level thinking skills that can get over looked.
Multiple Meaning Words: (51 cards )Each student receives a juggler mat. They choose cards that have a multiple meaning word on it and need to provide at least two meanings for the word. If they get it correct that can add the ball to the jugglers trick. Watch out for 'dropped ball' cards!
Giving Directions: (24 cards)Students choose cards that have a basic concept word or body part. They must give direction to a friend, or lucky you, containing that word. Example- card says 'left', student may say " Look left " Make sure you save the peanut cards to feed the elephant and win!
Naming Category Items: (30 cards) Students choose a card that has category. They must name at least three items in the category to keep it.
